What you can expect

World Karate mission

We offer world class instruction each and every class in a clean professional facility. At World Karate you will never be asked to join a special program to further your training. Every day we will work extremely hard to provide fun, safe, and rewarding classes that will help you be the best you can be.

David Brown

Founder and head instructor of World Karate, started training martial arts as a teenager in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Brown holds a fourth degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do from the Academy of Martial arts under Master Mike Payne and was one of the first Texans to be certified to teach the Israeli self-defense system known as F.I.G.H.T. He is also certified to teach Israeli tactical knife fighting.  Mr. Brown has also been actively training BJJ with Karun Fiederer since 2001. Karun is San Antonio's first Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belt under Pedro Alberto.  Mr. Brown is constantly learning new and different martial arts and self-defense techniques so that he, in turn, can pass on those skills to his students at World Karate.

Our goal is to create a better world through the power of martial arts training.  We strive to instill in all of our students that who you are in life is much more important than any martial arts accomplishment.

Joshua Kimball

World Karate's original and #1 staff member. Mr. Brown and Mr. Kimball have been teaching side by side since the 90s.  Mr. Kimball began training as a young teenager in San Antonio following in his father's footsteps becoming a great Black Belt. He has earned his 3rd degree Black Belt from World Karate and The Academy for Martial Arts.  His intensity and passion for training has made him the model for how to become an incredible martial artist.  Mr. Kimball has become one of the top instructors in the nation by continuing to improve his craft with 1000s of students over the past 2 decades. He will always find a way to motivate and inspire students of all ages to reach their goals.
