	David Brown, founder and head instructor of World Karate, started training martial arts as a teenager in San Antonio, Texas. Mr. Brown holds a third degree black belt in Tae Kwon Do and was one of the first Texans to be certified to teach the Israeli self-defense system known as F.I.G.H.T. He is also certified to teach Israeli tactical knife fighting. Mr. Brown is constantly learning new and different martial arts and self-defense techniques so that he, in turn, can pass on those skills to his students at World Karate. After graduating from high school in San Antonio, Mr. Brown attended The University of Texas at San Antonio and obtained his bachelors degree in History. Part of Mr. Brown’s time is spent visiting schools in the areas where volunteers his time to teach kids on the importance of self-defense, self-discipline and respect.
