At World Karate we believe it is our duty to make the world a better placenfor everyone. This is a belief that is instilled in all of our students.

World Karate goes GREEN

World Karate's new studio is on the forefront of how new energy-efficient construction is done. We have taken special care to design and build our new studio in a way that conserves and adds beauty to our community. Over half of our electric energy will come from state-of-the-art rooftop solar panels. (See photos) We have also installed a 7,000-gallon rain catchment system that will allow us to water dozens of trees and hundreds of shrubs throughout our property using a super efficient drip irrigation system. At World Karate we make every effort to recycle the hundreds of plastic bottles used by students, plus all in-house printing is done on 100% post-consumer paper. In addition, all of the seating inside the classrooms of our new studio has been built from reclaimed 100+ year old barn wood. (Learn more about rain catchment systems)

World Karate families gives back to the community

Every year since 2001, World Karate has held a toy drive that collects hundreds of new toys and clothes for families in need. World Karate families actually go and distribute the toys collected to different organizations throughout our community. Everyone involved benefits from this event. If you know of another organization that would like to join with us and be part of this annual toy drive, please contact us.

World Karate families raise money for the Red Cross

In October of 2005, World Karate families joined together and in one day raised over $30,000 for Hurricane Katrina Red Cross relief efforts.
